Hello parents and students,
As the Holidays are quickly approaching us I would like to extend my warmest thoughts of a fun filled, educational, filled with reading and writing Winter Break! The students will be receiving a homework packet that has been distributed to us and mandated by the Superintendant of the Newark Public Schools. Please review it with your children and make sure that they complete it and return it. This packet will be graded. Once again congratulations to all of those students who earned Honor Roll status. Keep up the good work!

Welcome Back!!
Now that we have returned from the Thanksgiving Holiday break it is time to focus on making sure students return their homework packets in a timely manner. They are due Friday December 4th. Please keep in mind that the homework packets are being counted toward your grades for second marking period and will be factored in as a test grade.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Parents and students I want to wish you a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving Holiday. Parents please be sure to encourage students to complete their homework packets in its entirety. As we have already began second marking period please be advised that homework is a detrimental part of the learning process. It not only provides reinforcement for the days lesson but it seals the learning of the skill.

Letter to Parents
Dear Parents/Guardians,
This is going to be an exciting year for your children! I have high expectations of all of my students. I am here to ensure their success. I am willing to work with you in any way that will make us a team in the childrens education. "It takes a village to raise a child" is a very important concept that I beleive creates a successful environment for young minds to grow. Please do not hesitate to log onto my Blog to communicate with me. I encourage it. I look forward to it.
