NJ ASK is Here!!!!

Parents and Students,
NJ ASK testing time is now!! Testing begins Monday, PLEASE do the following to ensure the best possible results: 1) Get a good nights rest. This is to ensure that you are alert and ready to perform at your best. 2) Eat a nutritious breakfast. You can eat at home or enjoy the Free breakfast provided by Quitman Street School everyday. 3) Arrive to school on time! All late students will be held in the Art room and will not be permitted to enter the classroom until the end of the test. 4) Do your best!!! I can not stress the importance of this test. It is the most important standardized test that you will take this year. GOOD LUCK!!

Fourth and FINAL marking period!!

As we end the third marking period this week and begin our last marking period of the school year let's reflect. Students did you always do your very best? Did you turn in all homework assignments? Did you spend an adequate amount of time reading at night? Are you getting proper rest? Are you focused on the NJASK test prep that is occuring daily in your classrooms? If so, you are on the right track to close the 2009-2010 school year off right!! If not, you have an oppurtunity to pick up and start on the right track to success! Good job and good luck!

Counting down for the NJASK!!!

Now that we are back from Spring Break please focus on preparing for the NJASK. In the classroom we have daily NJASK prep lessons in Literacy and Math. How you can help as the parents is to encourage your child to do his/her best on the test and stress the importance of it. Students please remember to get those basics such as memorizing the multiplication tables.
